Two meters..... August 4, 2010 Cosby11 SO it says that this cable is two meters long and its not, more like 2 feet long, seriously. It hardly reaches from the back of my nav unit to the front of the dash so i can plug my ipod into it. Absolutely ridiculous
WOWOW July 1, 2010 netwalker Heh, didn't think I needed this until I tried it, now I couldn't live without it. You really hate to spend $40-$50 bucks on a cable, but when you hear the difference and gain the ability to stream video from your iPod to your Pioneer deck, you'll be glad you made the plunge.
You do not have to be an audiophile to notice the differences between the sound quality of this cable and the regular iPod USB cable. If you're still using the USB cable that came with the iPod, you don't know what you're missing!
The only complaint I have is the length. FREAKING SHORT! I ran mine to my glovebox. Good luck going any further without extensions of some sort.
excelent device June 25, 2010 Erik Calvo Salazar this cable is for the ipod of my brother, he buy a pionner radio and this permit control the Ipod from the touch screen from the radio.
way too short June 16, 2010 Clarkie This cable is way too short for most uses. What was Pioneer thinking?
I hate having to unplug my iPhone from it's dock (and this cable) so i could answer a call.
Otherwise, this cable is great.
-Notable difference in audio quality against the white cable that came with my iphone.
-I can play video from the iPhone.
WAY TOO SHORT! June 11, 2010 B. McGraw (Acworth, GA) The cable itself works great. However, it's 1.5 ft length is ridiculously short! I have a Honda Pilot and I can't even run the cord to the bottom of the glovebox! If I plug in my iPhone, it dangles in or out of the glovebox because it's just too darn short to put the phone anywhere! What were you thinking Pioneer? Most of us don't drive smart cars that are only 3 feet wide. At a minimum they should offer this cable in varying lengths, or some type of extension. And to those who say just use the sync cable that came with the phone or the usb extension that came with the radio, this cable is used primarily to play video on the screen. Audio will work fine if you just have a standard dock to USB cable, but the IU50V is a must if you want to run video from your iPod.
