FAQ
What is an ISRC code?
An ISRC (International Standard Recording Code) is the unique identifier of a specific sound recording — one master. It identifies a recording, not a song or a release: a studio version, a single edit, a remix and a remaster of the same song each have their own ISRC. It's the code distributors, streaming platforms and royalty collection societies use to track a recording.
Where do the results come from?
AudioKit looks the track up on Spotify and returns the ISRC Spotify holds for each matching recording. If a track isn't on Spotify, it won't show up here. Spotify is one of the most complete public catalogs, so most commercially released music is covered.
Why do I get several results for one song?
A single song often exists as several recordings — the album version, a single edit, a remaster, a remix, a live take or a different regional release. Each of those is a separate master with its own ISRC. The tool shows you the candidates with their cover, album and release date so you can recognize the exact recording you need.
Is the ISRC Finder free?

Can I find the UPC too?
No. The UPC identifies a release (an album or single product), not a recording, and Spotify doesn't expose it through the data this tool uses — so we don't show it. The ISRC Finder focuses on the ISRC, the per-recording code.
