Personal data on AudioKit (https://audiokit.net) is processed by the publisher of the site, Archipel Audio SAS, 5 rue des Myosotis, 94140 Alfortville, France (SIREN 108 042 102), represented by its President, David Berdugo (see the legal notice). Contact: hello@audiokit.net.
Most tools (conversion, trimming, BPM analysis, metronome, etc.) process your files directly in your browser: those files are never sent to or stored on our servers.
To create an account, we collect your name, your email address and a password (stored only in hashed form). We also record the page you signed up from, that page's language and your country (a country code derived from your IP address using a database installed on our server; the IP address itself is not kept). Legal basis: performance of the contract. This data is kept as long as the account exists. You can ask for your account to be deleted at hello@audiokit.net.
Premium subscriptions and credit packs are paid through Stripe. Your card details are entered at Stripe and never pass through AudioKit; we only keep the Stripe customer ID, the subscription status and the invoice history. Legal basis: performance of the contract and accounting obligations.
Some Premium tools send your file to our server, which passes it to an AI provider and returns the result:
• Voice Remover, Enhance Voice, Lyrics / Cover Video: the audio is processed via Replicate (United States). Our temporary copies are deleted after processing.
• Cover Art Generator: your description (and the image you attach, if any) is sent to OpenAI (United States).
• Key Finder: key analysis runs on our own server; the file is deleted right afterwards.
• AI Music Detector: the audio is analysed via ACRCloud (EU hosting) and Replicate, then deleted when the analysis ends.
Transfers outside the European Union rely on the safeguards provided by the GDPR (standard contractual clauses or an equivalent mechanism). Creations you choose to save in "My creations" are stored on our server until you delete them or your account is deleted.
For 12 months, AudioKit keeps anonymous numeric measures from each analysis (a fingerprint of the file, levels and time fractions, the verdict) — with no link to an account, no file name and no audio — to calibrate detection. An optional research corpus, which would keep audio with explicit consent, is provided for but not activated.
To apply the free quota (2 processings per day without an account, 5 with a free account; for free accounts, this identifier also serves as a per-device cap), we compute a technical identifier of your browser (FingerprintJS, open-source version) and use your IP address; both are stored only in hashed form. We also count tool uses, and record technical errors and the feedback you send (with your browser type) to improve the service. Legal basis: legitimate interest (abuse prevention, operating and improving the service).
We send you service emails related to your account (welcome, payment) through our provider Resend.
Our other tools for musicians. AudioKit is part of the Archipel Audio family. If you create an account, Archipel Audio SAS may now and then email you, from archipelaudio.com, about its other tools for musicians, which are similar products from the same company. The sign-up form tells you so and lets you refuse straight away (an unticked "I don't want to receive them" box). Legal basis: legitimate interest (marketing of similar products, Article L34-5 of the French Postal and Electronic Communications Code).
Accounts created before October 20, 2026 only receive these emails if they asked for them (consent box or a "Yes, please" answer); the legal basis is then your consent. In every case, none of these emails is sent before you have confirmed your address through the link we email you. We record the date and the exact version of the text shown.
Right to object. You can object to these emails at any time, free of charge and without giving a reason: one-click unsubscribe link in every email, the "Emails" card in your account space, or in writing to hello@audiokit.net. Unsubscribing applies to all Archipel Audio products.
AudioKit only uses cookies required for the site to work: a session cookie (sign-in) and a security cookie (CSRF protection). Your light/dark theme choice is saved in your browser's local storage. No third-party audience measurement or advertising tools are used.
The site and data are hosted in Germany by Hetzner Online GmbH.
Under the GDPR, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, port and object to your data, and to withdraw your consent at any time. Write to hello@audiokit.net. You can also lodge a complaint with the CNIL (www.cnil.fr) or your local data protection authority.
