FAQ
Are these payout figures guaranteed?
No. These are estimates from market-average per-stream rates, shown as a low–high range. Streaming royalties are paid pro-rata — a share of each platform's revenue pool — and depend on the listener's country, their subscription type (free vs premium) and your distributor's cut. Treat the numbers as a ballpark, not a promise.
Where do the per-stream rates come from?
From published market averages for 2026: roughly $0.003–0.005 on Spotify, $0.005–0.008 on Apple Music, $0.012–0.015 on Tidal, down to $0.0007–0.002 on YouTube Music. They're approximations and are kept in one clearly-commented place in the tool so they're easy to update.
Why does Spotify show a warning under 1,000 streams?
Since 2024, Spotify only generates royalties for a track once it passes 1,000 streams over a rolling 12 months. Below that threshold those streams earn nothing for that track, so the tool flags it when your Spotify number is between 1 and 999.
How does the per-country refinement work?
High-revenue markets like the US, UK and Australia pay more per stream than emerging markets like Brazil. The optional country section lets you enter roughly how your streams split by country; the tool blends those into a single multiplier applied to every platform's rate. Leave it closed to use worldwide averages.
Is the calculator free and private?
Yes — it's completely free, needs no account, and runs entirely in your browser. There's no file to upload and nothing is sent to a server; the numbers you type never leave your device.
